I've also noticed that high rated users almost never upvote the answers which are not posted by other high rated users (or by people they know each other) even if these answers are not trivial at alleven if these answers are not trivial at all. Could(Could be a few exceptions, but I can nominate only one in the commutative-algebra and abstract-algebra sections (instead I can name a lot who are doing what I said).
