Oct 12, 2015 at 11:20 | comment | added | Daniel Fischer Mod | @DavideCervone I know. And it indeed renders normally with them removed. I just wanted to document in which way the ltr characters screw up the CommonHTML rendering here, since it may be a different way for mrf.
Oct 12, 2015 at 11:12 | comment | added | Davide Cervone | @DanielFischer, that is also due to the invisible characters. If they are removed, your rendering should be formatted more normally.

Oct 12, 2015 at 9:49 | comment | added | Daniel Fischer Mod | This is how the CommonHTML output looks for me. I wouldn't necessarily call that "better".

There appears to be some special Unicode characters in that formula, in particular instances of U+200E : LEFT-TO-RIGHT MARK. If you get rid of these, it seems to return to normal: $$\prod_{r=2}^{N}\frac{\Gamma^2(r\alpha+1)}{\Gamma((r-1)\alpha+1) \Gamma((r+1)\alpha+1)}<1$$
