Should the tag be found through typing "differential"? The tag can be found that way. The tag can be found through .

$\begingroup$ We could create a tag stochastic-differential-equations and make sde a synonym of that. $\endgroup$ – Najib Idrissi Apr 9 '15 at 15:46

    $\begingroup$ That's too many characters (33). Even stochastic-differential-eqns has 28. $\endgroup$ – punctured dusk Apr 9 '15 at 15:47
  • $\begingroup$ @NajibIdrissi Brilliant. $\endgroup$ – user198044 Apr 9 '15 at 15:48

$\begingroup$ Maybe stochas-differential-eqns? (If the goal is to have differential in the name) But it's starting to not really look good. $\endgroup$ – Najib Idrissi Apr 9 '15 at 15:52
  • $\begingroup$ @NajibIdrissi Never mind. Let us use your idea. $\endgroup$ – user198044 Apr 9 '15 at 15:55

    $\begingroup$ It's not possible, @Jack, there is a 25-character limit on tag names. $\endgroup$ – Najib Idrissi Apr 9 '15 at 15:56

$\begingroup$ IMO stochastic is rather more relevant than differential. One could go for stochastic-differential or stochastic-differential-e $\endgroup$ – quid Apr 9 '15 at 15:58
  • $\begingroup$ @NajibIdrissi Oh, barto was replying to you. Okay never mind then. Thanks. $\endgroup$ – user198044 Apr 9 '15 at 16:08

$\begingroup$ I'd go for the most informative, which would be stochastic-differention-e. The full name can always be mentioned in the tag excerpt so I don't think it's necessary to have "equations" or "eqns" in the name. Writing "differential-e" in the tag box gives 3 hits now while "differential" gives 10, so adding the "e" seems useful. $\endgroup$ – punctured dusk Apr 9 '15 at 19:17

    $\begingroup$ *differential, not differention $\endgroup$ – punctured dusk Apr 9 '15 at 19:43
  • $\begingroup$ We should also adapt the tag wiki and excerpt for differential-equations to mention sde (currently it only mentions pde). $\endgroup$ – AlexR Apr 14 '15 at 6:49
