# Please have a look to this [problem][1]. I have found the same problem at Milne's Elliptic curve book at I think there is a typo [closed]

I am asking this question at mathematics meta as I am not able to flag this question from math stack as some of my previous flags were declined and instead of posting an issue in beta, I don't know that from when I will be allowed to flag something again. Anyway please have look at this problem. I have found the same problem at Milne's Elliptic curve book at I think there is a typo and it would be

$$L: \Big(\frac{\partial F}{ \partial X}\Big)_P(X-1)+\Big(\frac{\partial F}{ \partial Y}\Big)_P(Y-b)+\Big(\frac{\partial F}{ \partial Z}\Big)_P(Z-c)=0$$ ; where $P=(a,b,c)$ So, I need experts help here.

I am asking that in the mentioned question there is an error(according to me). Now the problem is taken from Milne's book and that problem was unsolved by me even. Now I don't know whether there is a typo in the specific question or not and for that I need experts help. This help or attention can be drawn by flagging that question but I am now not allowed to do so.

1)So what can I do? This is my first question.

2) When shall I be allowed to flag any question or answer again as I have already reviewed my mistakes? This is my second question.

By the way, someone can close this question, I would not mind. My main objective was to draw moderators attention to this problem. So, please give an answer or suggestion to that as well. Thanks a lot!

• I have no idea what you are really asking, but it is clearly not on topic for meta (there is no beta). – Tobias Kildetoft Mar 4 '18 at 13:36

• Lastly, I have typed 'b' in place of 'm' which leads to beta and I am sorry for that. – Ri-Li Mar 4 '18 at 14:03

• Thanks a lot @JoelReyesNoche as I have got my 2nd question's answer. But what about the first one? – Ri-Li Mar 4 '18 at 14:12
• You've already posted a comment under the linked question explaining your suspicion that there was a typo. Just wait for the response of the original poster. – Joel Reyes Noche Mar 4 '18 at 14:14
• Yes, you are right but what I thought to ask other experts as well as this is the first question he posted and most of the time they do not have a very clear idea. I am sorry because I may be wrong. – Ri-Li Mar 4 '18 at 14:19

This help or attention can be drawn by flagging that question but I am now not allowed to do so.

This is a misconception. You should not flag this questions.

• If you have a new mathematical question, then you can ask it on the main site.

• If you want to draw attention to an existing question, then you can place a bounty on it.

Do not flag for this. You said you reviewed your errors, but given that that you even considered flagging this post it seems you did not understand what you were told.

Do not raise problems with the mathematical content of questions or generic problems with posts via "other" flags.

An "other" flag is only seen by the site moderators, which is just a handful of users. We are not supposed to deal with this type of thing.
