I can't seem to find any related information on the internet, so I wrote this question.

Is it worth putting time into earning reputation and include it as a part of my AIF(Admission Information Form) University of Waterloo's Requirement for an AIF? Would universities consider my effort in contributing to the community the same as running a club or participating in math contest?

$\begingroup$ First off, it would be helpful for some of us to understand the acronym AIF. Could you add that to your post? $\endgroup$ – amWhy Jan 15 '19 at 19:37

    $\begingroup$ Somewhat related, but one level up : meta.mathoverflow.net/questions/3407/… and academia.stackexchange.com/questions/61749/… $\endgroup$ – Arnaud D. Jan 15 '19 at 19:48
  • $\begingroup$ I thought there was already about this on MathSE, but I can't find anything on Main or Meta. $\endgroup$ – Arnaud D. Jan 15 '19 at 19:53
  • $\begingroup$ Considering the university also values high school applicants' contribution to school clubs, achievement in music. Any chance the same thing applies to MathSE? $\endgroup$ – Kevin Jan 15 '19 at 20:18

$\begingroup$ Why don't you directly ask them? This is the easiest way to obtain a clear answer. Or this is not an option? $\endgroup$ – Zacky Jan 15 '19 at 22:57

$\begingroup$ Maybe it is the only way to find out. I will try to contact the university. $\endgroup$ – Kevin Jan 16 '19 at 13:06
