@quid There is that. :) I’d’ve written it out as three myself.

I can't really believe that after $5$ whole years, this still hasn’t been done. Would you please be so kind as to add the bug tag to the question?

@niloderoock No, the real problem is that 20yo eyes have crazy ideas about low contrast being accessible when it's not.

The horrible mix of serif and sans, coupled with weird and sometimes unreadable sizes, is the worst problem. I believe the sequence of events here was they first mandated that everyone would use Arial for everything, like it or lump it, and that this was just not a negotiable thematic choice. After sufficient rebellion on sites like this one, the developers appear to have begrudgingly relented on that decision, but they appear to have done so in the very smallest possible way, still leaving countless areas that now look wrong because they don’t follow the site theme font any longer.

@ParamanandSingh I keep telling them this, but so far it has received zero response from the dev team. The disconnect between the site theme's elegant serif font and the almost uncountably many places where this was replaced by a like-it-or-lump-it Microsoft Arial brutal sans is worse than merely startling. It is inconsistent, distracting, annoying, and misleading.
