About
By Day: being a victim of sleeping disorder
By Night: being a zombie as a side effect of my day job

My questions that are still waiting for an answer:
- Perhaps misguided inquiry, but I'm very eager to see a response: Geometric representation of Euler-Maclaurin Summation Formula (First answer just appeared after 3 years! Processing...)
My answers posts that are memorable for various reasons
- Geometric probability (Geo-Pr), order statistics, clumsy partial solution from scratch, LONG post: Expected maximum pairwise distance for $n$ points on a circle?
- Geo-Pr, built on existing results: Mean distance between 2 points in adjacent voxels (cubes)
- Geo-Pr, easy but beautiful symmetry and great potential for generalization, nice correspondence with another answerer: Probability that the two segments intersect
- Geo-Pr, type up a link-only content, good question and great answer (by others): expected area of a triangle determined by randomly placed points
- Min-Max and Discrete Memorylessness: Variance of alternate flipping rounds
- Deal with joint with Max: Covariance between an exponential random variable and the maximum of several exponential random variables
Elementary yet interesting
- Probabilistic inequalities: How to prove inequality between probabilities of negative-binomial random variable and geometric variable?
- Inequalities: To identify the largest of the three fractions
- I actually learned something: Conditional Expectation of Uniform-Product
- Sort of Number theory: Is it possible to have a closed formula for a sequence 2, 4, 6, 8, ... and the sequence would be equidistributed?
When I first joined the site:
- Unexpectedly fruitful journey into the history of calculus: How to find area under sines without calculus?
- First bounty awarded: Bound on Difference of Expectations
- Approximating Gaussian CDF: Error in estimating additive factor based on samples?
- Naive question got great answer: Limit of $\left\{ \int_{0}^{1} [bx + a(1 - x) ]^{\frac1n} dx \right\}^n$ as $n \to \infty$
- Compass-and-straightedge question nicely answered: Constructing a right triangle with hypotenuse and bisector
