Jesse Madnick
Postdoc at McMaster University. I earned my PhD from Stanford in 2018 under the direction of Robert Bryant and Rick Schoen.
My research is in differential geometry and geometric analysis. More specifically:
- Einstein Metrics & Special Holonomy
- Minimal Submanifolds & Calibrated Geometry
- Gauge theory
My favorite parts of math arise from the geometric aspects of calculus. I like the algebraic and analytic machinery of geometry and topology.
I learn best from concrete examples, explicit calculations, and relating modern ideas to their classical counterparts.
