Please feel free to edit any of my answers to correct my numerous mistakes, or to amend my omissions. I will not take it personally, I would prefer to only see useful and correct answers.
I majored in hardware engineering.
I use mathematics primarily in hardware and software design.
My favorite areas of study/use are linear algebra and fundamentals of logic.
My pursuit is formulating logic in software. I consider logic that only exists in academic papers to be spam. Program it or it's worthless. There is no excuse for anyone living after 1990 to study logic without putting their ideas into software. The true measure of a logic system isn't in peer review but in a compiler.
I believe the future of design-using-software will change so much in the next few years that it will be like waking up in a different era of history.
